In addition to the Grand Canyon, Arizona contains 21 national parks and monuments and 45 national historic landmarks—and more than 20 sovereign Tribal communities call these lands their home. Most everyone is familiar with Arizona's red-rock buttes, pulled-taffy canyons and cactuses; however, there are also plenty of whitewater rivers, snow-crusted mountain peaks, ponderosa pine forests, blue lakes, and sandy beaches.

So, sure, the Grand Canyon—one of the seven natural wonders of the world—is something no visitor to Arizona should miss. But it's far from the only thing that makes Arizona grand.
