History & Nature
Located right on the Colorado River, River Island State Park is a great place for camping enthusiasts, and it has plenty of amenities to make your stay something special. A ramada, sandy beach, cove, and boat launch area mean that you’ll be drawn to the beautiful river and mountain views, and may even feel inspired to stay awhile.
Things To Do
The park offers a hiking trail, and easy river access making for great boating, fishing, jet skiing, and swimming which are all very popular, especially during warmer months. Winter’s mild climate makes this a great cool-weather destination too, and visitors frequently enjoy camping fishing, and hiking. It’s always a fun time to visit!
