An Unexpected Vintage

What pairs well with a warm, sunny afternoon and a breathtaking view of Arizona’s beautifully rugged scenery? A glass of locally made wine, of course. Touring Arizona’s three wine trails is an excellent opportunity to get outside, sip a fabulous wine, and admire the stunning vistas.

Wine Tours

In Arizona’s high deserts, three major grape-growing regions have taken root—Sonoita, Willcox, and Verde Valley. Since the 1970s, these locally made wines have earned international acclaim, won numerous awards, and have even been served in the White House.

Learn more about Arizona’s wineries and vineyards and find maps of the three major wine trails at Arizona Wine Growers Association. For maps of Arizona's wineries, vineyards, and tasting rooms, check out the following links:

Wine Tasting In Arizona

Flights abound throughout the state — wine flights, that is. For visitors and locals alike, Arizona’s tasting rooms provide an accessible alternative for oenophiles who may not have the time to visit the wineries themselves.

The Scottsdale Wine Trail is home to five walkable tasting rooms, with pours from various Arizona wineries; on Cottonwood’s Main Street you’ll find more than 10 places to sip and swirl; and in Tucson, the Arizona Wine Collective takes you on a journey through Arizona wine country without ever leaving town.
