Sedona & The Verde Valley

Connect With Nature

Sedona and the Verde Valley's picturesque red rock formations are iconic, thanks to the hundreds of films, videos and commercials filmed here, and visitors quickly discover the region’s sights are even more impressive when seen in person.

The milder climate in this higher-altitude section of Arizona lends itself to outdoor adventures. Take off on foot or mountain bike to enjoy the scenic hiking and biking trails of Red Rock and Slide Rock state parks, on horseback for a guided tour along Oak Creek and the canyons near Cornville or in a kayak or canoe to embark on scenic water adventures along the Verde River.

For a less taxing but equally rewarding experience, try soaring above red-rock country in a hot-air balloon, tackling terrain on a jeep tour or rolling through Verde Canyon on a historic train. History buffs can stroll along the streets of mountain towns like Jerome and Clarkdale, which first thrived during the state's copper mining boom and today house a charming mix of art studios, museums and shops.

Or settle into a chair and enjoy the view from the patio of one of the dozens of wineries and tasting rooms scattered throughout the Verde Valley. However you spend your visit, the region's natural beauty will ensure your memories are strikingly colorful.
