10×10 Exhibition & Art Sale 2017

Flagstaff Arts Council is excited to announce the 10×10 Exhibition & Art Sale 2017 showing January 17 – February 11, 2017 at the Coconino Center for the Arts. This exhibition showcases 100 regional artists working within a small size for new, original works of art, all for sale during the exhibition. The first chance to view the show and purchase artwork will be at the Members’ Preview reception, Thursday, January 12, 6-8pm. The public Opening Reception will be Saturday, January 14, from 6-8pm.

Every piece in the show is affordably priced with a limited selection going via silent auction. This benefit art show is a fundraiser to support the Coconino Center for the Arts. The exhibitions in 2012 and 2015 each raised over $10,000 to support art exhibitions at the Center.

“In organizing the 10x10 Benefit Exhibition, we've brought together a who's who of Northern Arizona artists who are excited about growing the arts community in Flagstaff and beyond.” states Artistic Director, Travis Iurato. The 2017 exhibition will feature a number of well-known artists as well as variety of up-and-comers. 

Participating artists include Shonto Begay, Brian Bradley, Emma Gardener, Brian David Griffith, Michael Hagelberg, Tina Mion, Deb Strong Napple, Joni Pevarnik, Sei Saito, Jacques Cazaubon Seronde, Shawn Skabelund, Ellen Tibbits, and Baje Whitethorne Sr. among many others.

Opening in conjunction with 10x10 is Luster, which will be featured in the Jewel Gallery January 17 through February 11, 2017. This solo show features new work by Arizona artist Mary Meyer, the series is an ongoing body of work that features an evolution of cast aluminum forms originally hand sculpted in clay.

The Coconino Center for the Arts is open Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m, and admission to all gallery shows is free. More information on the 10x10 exhibition and all other upcoming Arts Council events can be found online flagartscouncil.org or by calling (928) 779-2300.
