The Sad Girls Club is a union of female songwriters in Phoenix, Arizona, that leverages the power of community to create opportunity. Join us for dinner and a show at our Sad Girl Night at Yellow Spruce Roasters & Wine bar in Old Town Scottsdale. Yellow Spruce offers a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a glass of local Arizona wine or Arizona craft beer. Their food menu is designed to pair nicely with any drink option. As we got to know each other and shared our stories, we learned that we were all struggling to get performance opportunities as women writing thoughtful, unique music. We started calling ourselves the Sad Girls Club as a joke, but we quickly realized that we are stronger together, and we shouldn’t have to struggle alone. The Sad Girls Club could be just the thing we needed to help us help each other. By coming together, we can share resources, and create more opportunity for everyone. At the Sad Girls Club, we believe that the thoughts, feelings, and inner lives of women are worthy of being elevated into art, and we create spaces that celebrate that. We’re reclaiming sad girl music as something meaningful and worthwhile.
