Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing, in addition to the Family Fun Zone, the racetrack will keep families entertained all summer long with themed celebrations for Fathers Day, Kids Day, July 4, Labor Day, and Back-to-Day, among others.
Regional affiliate show #4 and AzRHA Jackpot Show, reining is a judged event requiring competitors to complete one of ten approved patterns in an arena, patterns include large and small circles of various speeds, flying lead changes, 360 degree spins in place, roll backs, and sliding stops, judging is based on degree of difficulty and the ease and finesse with which each maneuver is completed.
Course includes smooth, well-graded forest service roads and the Arizona Trail’s easiest, softest, running tread, loop crosses through idyllic forest of spruce, pine, and aspen, shallow ponds, springs, and limestone canyons, breathtaking views of Marble Canyon, Vermilion Cliffs, Saddle Mountain Wilderness, House Rock Valley, and Navajo Mountain.
The focus will be on pairing pro and experienced bass anglers with both non-ambulatory and ambulatory veterans to give them the opportunity to enjoy some time on the water and to fish in a competition. Veterans, whether seasoned fishermen/women or complete amateurs, will be paired with professional anglers and shown the tips and tricks of being a productive angler.
Cyclists, choose between a 33- or 66-mile course through Willcox, Arizona, and up the iconic Dos Cabezas Mountains, and along a scenic route of rolling hills and wide-open rangeland to Chiricahua National Monument—all for fun and charity.
