Date Night Dinner
Feast under the stars and under the palms of a desert date garden
Ranked by Fodor's Travel as one of the world's 20 most unique dining experiences, Date Night dinners are back for the 2017-2018 Visit Yuma tour season.
"Date Night dinners are one of our more popular offerings," said Linda Morgan, executive director at Visit Yuma. "We have already received calls from those hoping to reserve seats in advance, so we anticipate tickets to sell quickly"
Diners enjoy a full course meal prepared and served by Chef Alex Trujillo and the Catering by Design staff. From appetizers to dessert, the sweetness of the Medjool date is thoughtfully integrated with each serving to demonstrate the fruit's culinary versatility. Even date-infused libations are available.
This season will see five highly-sought after dinners take place: November 17, January 12, February 2 and 16, and March 9. Tickets are $75 per person and include an expert-led walking tour of the Imperial Date Gardens facility, one drink ticket (additional drinks for purchase), the full meal, and a parting gift.
"Date Night is a fun and socially engaging way to showcase the diversity of agriculture throughout the Yuma region," said Morgan. "Not only does the dinner provide a delicious one-of-a-kind experience, but it's one that leaves each guest more knowledgeable about the industry."
