Halloween in the Hills

Wednesday, October 31st from 4 pm -8 pm

on the Avenue of the Fountains, in Fountain Hills AZ 85268

Come one, come all! This Halloween hit the streets of Fountain Hills for a Halloween event like no other! For those of you who don't know, Sami Fine Jewelry and The Town of Fountain Hills put on the most "SPOOK-TACULAR" FREE Halloween event in the Valley! With over 10 years running, Halloween in the Hills offers fun and safety for the entire family...including your pets!

Wednesday, October 31st, 2018, from 4pm-8pm, The Town of Fountain Hills will shut down the entire Avenue of the Fountains. Over 30 local businesses and charities will be providing family game booths along the avenue. Plus business stay open for trick or treating! Booths are carnival style, and kids can win candy and toys. Local business owners get creative with the games, so you never know what you might win! Games are not only FUN but FREE to play! Plus, The Town of Fountain Hills rents the coolest bounce houses for the younger kids to “jump around”!

Outside of carnival games, what Halloween event would be complete without costume contests? Sponsored by Sami Fine Jewelry and Steadfast Construction, Halloween in the Hills offers two great contests. The first contest is “Pets and Their People”. This contest is fun to watch. Every kind of animal you can imagine can be entered in the contest. From dogs, pigs, bunnies, and birds, this event is very entertaining! This year, the contest starts at 5:45 pm (Registration is from 5:15pm-5: 40 pm and is located in the center of the Avenue near Chase Bank). Participation is completely FREE and prizes are sponsored by local businesses.

The other contest is “Best Kids Costume”. At 6:30 pm (Registration is from 6pm-6: 20 pm) kids will strut their stuff across the stage, showing off their favorite Halloween Costumes. This contest is for youth under 18 years of age. From Minecraft characters to Disney princesses, you will see it all. Participation is FREE and prizes are sponsored by local businesses. If you are interested in participating or watching either of these Costume contests, they will be happening on the center of the Avenue (near Chase bank) on the main stage.

As well as the costume contests, other exciting things will also be happening in the stage area. From martial arts demos, games, and Halloween music, the center of the Avenue will be “jamming” Halloween style! Plus, there will also be a Fountain Hills Fire truck candy drop!

Additionally, there will be lots of other free things to do. Join Charlotte… the friendly spider at Sonoran Lifestyle’s Spider Village. Venture into the Spider’s Laire to enjoy a fun-filled haunted experience for young and old alike. The spider experience starts at 5:30 pm.

Don’t just plan on eating candy, make sure you come hungry! Eat at the carnival and support your community. Sofrita’s, The All American Grill, Circle R Farm Food Truck, and The Fountain Hills Noon Kiwanis will be offering delicious food and drink for purchase. Waffle Luv and Cactus Corn are also a fun addition for desert food for purchase. Buy any food or drink from food at the carnival and a portion of all of the proceeds will be donated to local charity!
