The Flagstaff Sky Peaks Mountain Runs features some of the most spectacular running in Arizona.  All races kick off with a breathtaking climb that tops out at 11,500 feet at The Arizona Snowbowl Ski Resort and explore a mix of single track along the AZT under canopies of color changing Aspen, along with varied mountain terrain within the ski resort. This year we are excited to introduce a new 50 Mile distance that circumnavigates the San Francisco Peaks! All races will start and finish at the Humphrey’s Yurt located at Arizona Snowbowl.

Aspen Dream 50K – An ultra run through Aspens on the Arizona Trail.
Quad Bomber 25K – A beastly climb to the top of Snowbowl and epic descent on the Arizona Trail.
Agassiz Grinder 10K – The toughest 10K you’ll do with a trip to 11,500 feet!
Humphrey Hump 5K – A beautiful trip around the Aspen Loop.
About the Flagstaff Sky Peaks
The all new Flagstaff Sky Peaks courses offer a mix of distances for all runners looking to experience high altitude mountain running set above beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona. These premiere mountain races start and finish at the Humphrey’s Yurt at the Arizona Snowbowl perched on the Western slope of the San Francisco Peaks. With abundant steep terrain at the Arizona Snowbowl going up to 11,500 feet in elevation this is the perfect venue for jumping off into Flagstaff’s trail running paradise. All courses feature single track along the Arizona Trail as well as mixed terrain at the Arizona Snowbowl.

6:00 AM – 50 Mile Start | Civil Twilight Begins

The start and finish for all events will be located at the Humphrey’s Yurt at  Arizona Snowbowl Ski Resort in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Located on the majestic San Francisco Peaks, the Arizona Snowbowl lies 14 miles outside of Flagstaff, 2 hours from Phoenix, and 70 miles from the Grand Canyon. The resort opened in 1938 and is now one of the oldest continually operated ski area in the country. Arizona Snowbowl Website

Starting @ 5:00 am (Race Day Pickup)
Runners may pick up their bib race morning before their race at the start/finish line under the registration tent

Crewing is permitted during the 50K at the Start/Finish line only as runner will pass through the aid station at the start finish three times along their course. Crewing for the 50 mile will be allowed at the Hostetter, Shultz, & Kachina aid stations. A high clearance vehicle is highly recommended to reach the Schultz Aid Station. When parking, please do not block any road ways and follow the instructions from aid station volunteers. Please only park on one side of the road for all three Hostetter, Kachina & Schultz so we do not block traffic.

No crewing will be allowed on course for any of the shorter distances.

Spectators are welcome at our three remote crew locations (Hostetter, Schultz, & Kachina) and at the start/finish line. We discourage spectators at any other aid station or checkpoint during the race. We do encourage spectators to take advantage of the scenic views at Arizona Snowbowl and take the Scenic Chairlift to the top of the mountain on Saturday.  Scenic Chairlift tickets are sold at the Agassiz Lodge.

    Runners will go through some nice neighborhoods and work their way up to the turn around point at the tree just before the stream and the Ramsey Canyon Preserve This is a challenging hilly course on paved roads with beautiful views of the Huachuca Mountains created in 2005 by TMRC President Marylou Blakely.

    Run through the heart of Gilbert. The course is flat and fast, a great first-time experience or a PR possibility. Half marathoners begin at Higley High School and race along the corn fields and along most popular canals and through premiere parks–the Riparian Preserve and Freestone Park. 10k is the second half of the half marathon and starts at Nichols Park.
