2nd Annual Sky Island Tour Event

Sky Islands are known in the southwest as mountain ranges surrounded by radically different lowland environments. All one-day Sky Island tour rides are a loop, beginning and ending at the Windemere Hotel in Sierra Vista, AZ. Learn more and register at www.skyislandtour.com.

Metric Century:

The metric century 62-mile bicycle ride takes place on mostly rural roads with an adequate shoulder width to provide a comfortable ride for the intermediate to advanced rider. The ride passes through Bisbee, AZ and twice crosses over the San Pedro River. Two support stops will provide water, performance drink, and snacks. Restaurants in Bisbee also provide an opportunity to eat and rest, which is about half way through the ride. Technical support is also provided on the route if needed.

Cochise-Vista Ride:

A 21-mile bicycle ride around Sierra Vista on the newly designated Cochise-Vista Trail, part of Sierra Vista's multi-use path system. This casual ride for all level of riders.

Fun Ride:

A 5-mile fun ride in Sierra Vista on the Country Club fitness loop. Bring the entire family for this easy ride on a multi-use path system.

    Through the Petrified Forest National Park, limited to 150, now a Boston Marathon qualifier, begins at the north end of the park and finishes at the south end, the course has lots of small hills and has a net altitude loss of about 400 feet from the start to the finish, 15 aid stations along the route.
