8th Annual Arcosanti Bluegrass Festival

Arcosanti to host 8th annual Bluegrass Festival

The Arcosanti Bluegrass Festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 13-14, at the famed futuristic community in Arizona’s north country. This year’s event will pay homage to the late Ben Sandoval, an Arizona legend who helped put today’s strong bluegrass movement on the map. On the bill are Cisco and the Racecars (just back from a European tour), The Haymarket Squares, Sonoran Dogs, The Billy Parker Band, Jam Pak and many others.

Arcosanti is a small, intimate festival in a spectacularly unique setting, making it all the more sensational, with mainline talent as headliners. Seriously, people come from all over the world to spend time in this “Urban Laboratory.” If you’ve never been there, great music makes Arcosanti all the better and definitely worthy of a bucket list day trip…especially every October.

To reach Arcosanti from Phoenix, drive north on I-17 to Cordes Junction, then take Exit 263 to the east and follow the signs. Tickets are just $12 (and free to kids 16 and under!). Overnight camping is available for $5 per person. Get all the details at 928-632-7135, 480-963-6811 or www.arcosanti.org.
