Annie Moscow: "Land of Dreams" songs and stories with Wesley Skinner and Sam Russo

On Friday evening, May 3rd, Annie Moscow will perform songs and stories from her latest release, "Land of Dreams, joined by Wesley Skinner on cello and Sam Russo on percussion. Annie Moscow is a poet, pianist and hit songwriter (Sister Sledge, Sarah Vaughn & Mickey Mouse). She performs regularly at The Nash jazz club in Phoenix, and has also written and performed 13 one-two person shows for the Herberger Theater, featuring her original music. Moscow is a cinematic storyteller and her work often elicits comparisons to other pianist/cultural documentarians including Billy Joel, Laura Nyro, and Carole King.

Wesley Skinner (cello) is currently completing a CMA from Arizona State University. His competition wins include the Cleveland Institute of Music and the ASU Concerto Competitions. Wesley also served as founding member of the Laniakea String Quartet, which won first prize in The Sixth Hong Kong International Chamber Music Competition.

Sam Russo is a jazz drumset player from the Phoenix area. Under the direction of Dom Moio and Lewis Nash, he holds a Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance from Arizona State University. Sam has performed with Jane Monheit, Howard Alden and many others.
