San Carlos Recreation & Wildlife

We welcome sportsmen to the San Carlos Apache tribal lands. Our vast reservation is located in east-central Arizona and spans three counties. Discover pine forests and high Sonoran desert, secluded lakes and the wild beauty of the Black River.

All visitors who want to bird, camp, or hike must have a permit to be on the tribal land.

You'll find schedules, licenses and regulations, along with other pertinent information like Apache guides that specialize in that activity. Our site lists more than 50 Apache guides who will show you the very best places to hunt, fish, hike, bird watch and camp.
