Chandler

One of the fastest-growing cities in the country, it’s easy to see why Chandler is popular with residents and visitors alike.

Kids will have a blast here! Playtime can happen at any one of 60 recreational parks, six aquatic parks, an ice skating rink, an indoor skate and trampoline park, or the 35,000-square-foot Chandler Skate Park, which welcomes skaters of all abilities. The Arizona Railway Museum, which showcases restored train cars from throughout history, welcomes everyone aboard, too.

What about mom and dad (or those without kids)? You’ll find seven golf courses with a total of 153 holes, two casinos (Lone Butte Casino and Wild Horse Pass), and innovative cuisine, not to mention Chandler Fashion Center, one of the best malls in the region.

Celebrate the arts the first Wednesday of every month at the Downtown Chandler ArtWalk – you’ll savor works by local artisans as well as the charming downtown, an area that was recently designated a National Register Historic District. Across the street, stroll the grounds of (or book a stay at) the elegant Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort. Opened in 1912, it holds the distinction of being the state’s first golf resort and has hosted both U.S. presidents and Hollywood elite.
