Baja SAE Arizona 2025 is coming to Marana!
Come watch college engineering teams from around the world put their all-terrain sporting vehicles to the test.
There'll be acceleration, maneuverability, sled pull, suspension, and traction skills competitions, and on Sunday, they'll put their vehicles to the ultimate test in a four-hour endurance race.
What is it?
Baja SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) consists of competitions that simulate real-world engineering design projects and their related challenges. Engineering students are tasked to design and build an off- road vehicle that will survive the severe punishment of rough terrain. Each team's goal is to design and build a single-seat, all-terrain, sporting vehicle whose structure contains the driver. The vehicle is to be a prototype for a reliable, maintainable, ergonomic, and economic production vehicle which serves a recreational user market.
Who can attend?
Students, families, and the public are welcome to attend to cheer on the teams from all over the United States, Mexico, Canada, and India. The Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and University of Arizona teams will also be competing to add some in-state rivalry to the fun! This event is FREE!
