Pinal County Historical Museum

The Pinal County Historical Society and Museum showcases displays and artifacts that bring to life the stories of the events and people who directly influenced the growth of the Town of Florence, Arizona. Popular items in the museum's collection include:

  • 1890s cactus furniture
  • memorabilia from Western film star Tom Mix
  • a gun display featuring rifles from the Civil War and Apache wars
  • a rodeo exhibit highlighting Florence's connection to Gene Autry.

Those interested in the more nefarious aspects of the town's history can view the double execution chair used for the first gas chamber execution in Arizona, along with items relating to Winnie Ruth Judd, the trunk murderess of the 1930s.
