Tusayan

TUSAYAN IS AT THE DOORSTEP OF ONE OF THE SEVEN WONDERS OF THE NATURAL WORLD, ARIZONA’S GRANDEST ATTRACTION.

Right Now

Did you procrastinate when planning a trip to the country’s second most visited park? If you can’t get into Grand Canyon National Park’s always-booked lodge, Tusayan has you covered with accommodations in every price range, so you can score a room in any season.

Located just outside the national park entrance, high in the Kaibab Forest, Tusayan is the gateway to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Tusayan Hotels offer close and affordable accommodations to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.  During the months of March – September the National Park Service operates their Tusayan Shuttle which take guests from Tusayan directly to the main Visitor Center every 20 minutes.

Tusayan is also home to Grand Canyon National Airport, where helicopter and airplane plane tours depart daily. Soaring high over the contours of the canyon – it looks just like the topographical maps you remember from elementary school – is a thrill well worth the splurge.  Prefer to keep your feet closer to the ground?  Consider one of our guided Jeep Tours that depart daily from Tusayan and explore the Grand Canyon or the Kaibab National Forest with an expert.  Are you partial to touring on four legs?  Consider a beautiful horseback ride with Apache Stables through the Kaibab National Forest.

Can’t decide when to go?  Consider late fall and winter when the crowds are less, but the beauty never fades.  A light dusting of snow in the canyon will take your breath away!
