Tesoro Brings Treasure of Tunes to Tubac!
Friday, August 16, at 7:00 PM, Global Change Multi-Media presents Tesoro at the Tubac Plaza Main Stage.  Tesoro has a unique sound that captivates even the most sophisticated Flamenco purists and enthusiasts.  The group’s sound is a mestizo of world genres layered on top of the aggressive yet sensual sounds of acoustic and electric guitar riffs rooted in flamenco.  Tesoro takes flamenco fusion to a new level.
A fusion of flamenco, rock, pop, rumba and cumbia guitars is the main focus of Tesoro.  Founding members Brian Scott and Justin Fernandez long ago surpassed the label of prodigy and have now taken this music to an entirely new level.  It is simply impossible to listen to the music created by these talented men and not find yourself dancing.
With Gabriel Kaiser on the drums, channeling the power of Bonham and the delicate skills of Ginger Baker, and bassist Andrew McClarron building intricate baselines like an Escher painting, Tesoro creates music that mesmerizes, makes one smile and goes in directions no one expects.  In front of these seasoned musicians is Venezuelan singer, Efisio Giordanelli with a subtle charisma, charming stage presence, and engaging vocals.
Each band member of Tesoro shines when it comes to their instrument, but the group is so much bigger than the sum of its parts.  Their diversity and unique personalities bring a musical background and influences that creates a fusion of sound sure to inspire the soul.
With two live CD’s under their belts, numerous performance videos on YouTube, and at least 100 shows a year, Tesoro is now in the process of recording their first studio album with producer/engineer Jim Waters (Sonic Youth, Chuck Prophet, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion).
Concert held outdoors at the Tubac Plaza Main Stage next to the “Out Of The Way Galleria” at 29 Tubac Plaza in Tubac, Arizona.  Age 18 & up - $13 suggested donation; Age 12-17 - $10 suggested donation; Age 4-11 - $4 suggested donation; Age 3 & under – FREE.  Proceeds benefit teen & young adult rehabilitation programs and Avalon Gardens Internships.  For more information call (520) 398-2542 or visit
