Arizona Plein Air Painters Show

The outdoor landscape painting group, Arizona Plein Air Painters, will hold a Plein Air Art Show from October 2 through October 13, 2013 at the beautiful Arizona Art Alliance Gallery, 9011 East Indian Bend Road, in Scottsdale. The Gallery is in the Scottsdale Pavilions at Talking Stick, located between Hobby Lobby and Sports Authority.  There will be a free “meet-the-artist” reception on Friday Oct 4th  from 5-7 PM.  Light refreshments will be served. The regular show hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day, from Wednesday through Sunday.

Arizona Plein Air Painters (APAP) is an organization of professional and emerging artists dedicated to painting directly from life.  APAP has a commitment to natural and cultural heritage preservation, in partnership with the National Park Service, Arizona State Parks, and the Nature Conservancy.

This show comprises our artists beautiful interpretations of natural and urban landscapes, all painted on location. The fleeting light and changing outdoor conditions call for artists to be fresh and bold in their sstyle. This show is a tribute to that spirit, and promises as well to be a real treat for art collectors.

Please visit APAP’s website www.arizonapleinairpainters.com for more information on the show, the organization, and several on-location “paintouts”, to which non-members are invited. The website also shows examples of members’ work.
