Viva la Cultura

Arizona is practically synonymous with Hispanic culture.

From its earliest days as a settlement, Arizona was shaped largely by Spanish and Mexican communities and culture. Throughout the state, that cultural influence is deeply ingrained in the cuisine, architecture language and art.

Especially in Southern Arizona, which maintains close ties to Mexico. It's not uncommon to hear Spanish words mixed with English (also known as Spanglish) or to observe Día de Muertos.
