Shonto's Rock The Canyon - Arts & Music Festival

Celebrate music, art and community in the beautiful setting of Shonto Canyon during this all-ages back-to-school festival on the Navajo Nation.

Shonto’s Rock the Canyon Arts & Music Festival makes its highly anticipated return on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Held from 12 noon to 6 p.m. at the Eddie Shootinglady Pavilion in Shonto Canyon, this all-ages celebration welcomes students, families and visitors for an afternoon of live music, art, food, local vendors and community resources.

James Bilagody will serve as master of ceremonies, with live performances by Deion Hayes, Radmilla Cody, Irv Wauneka, Bigfoot, Sunburnt Stone and the reunited Coalition.

The Arizona Office of Tourism is proud to support the festival’s educational efforts as a sponsor. Additional support comes from Navajo Power, Navajo Power Home, the Navajo Nation Office of Tourism and Division of Economic Development, Native Markets, Inc., and Sheephead Films.
