The Magical Flute: Beauty, Enchantment, and Power Opening Weekend

Join us for the Musical Instrument Museum's (MIM) Opening Weekend Celebration for the new special exhibition The Magical Flute: Beauty, Enchantment, and Power. The exhibition presents rare and historic flutes such as an 8,000 year old ancient Chinese bone flute, an exquisite bamboo hitoyogiri made for 14th-century Japanese emperor Go-Daigo, and crystal flutes owned by Napoleon and Louis Bonaparte. The opening weekend will feature a dynamic lineup of pan flute crafts, curator talks, and performances spanning everything from opera arias to Irish rock.
