Scottsdale Gallery Association Celebrates Convergence “Showtime”

On Thursday, Nov. 13 from 6:30-9 p.m., the Scottsdale Gallery Association (SGA) and its member galleries present the Gallery Convergence “Showtime” Gold Palette ArtWalk. This exclusive event celebrates the annual Canal Convergence experience, which runs from Friday, Nov. 7 through Sunday, Nov. 16, with entertainment and events within each participating gallery.

The SGA Gold Palette ArtWalk takes place throughout the Scottsdale Arts District — along Main St. from Scottsdale Rd. to Goldwater Blvd. and north of Indian School Rd. on Marshall Way to 5th Ave., and within member galleries.

“Much like the Scottsdale Gallery Association, Canal Convergence offers free educational activities and interactive events that celebrate art,” said SGA President Jinger Richardson. “Our November Gold Palette ArtWalk pays homage to the importance of honoring art in all forms, particularly the art of performance.”

The Canal Convergence 2025 theme focuses on performance as public art and the subject of performance itself, including its history, cultural significance and role in art and society. It will emphasize performance, community engagement and accessibility.

Throughout the Gallery Convergence “Showtime” Gold Palette ArtWalk, participating SGA members present the following themed experiences within their galleries:

Bonner David Galleries

7040 E. Main St.

Bonner David Galleries, together with Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, honors acclaimed Western artist Gary Ernest with an opening of new works at the gallery. The celebration begins at 3 p.m. with an unveiling of Smith’s new exhibition and a special tribute at the museum’s statue of Maynard Dixon, which was created by Smith. He will then give a presentation about this career. Following, Smith will lead guests and collectors to Bonner David Galleries for the opening of this brand new body of work titled “Evening Majesty.”
