Flagstaff hosting the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree
Arizonans can celebrate a national holiday tradition and visit the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree in Flagstaff on Nov. 7, 2025, when the giant pine stops in the city on its journey to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol Building.
The tree will be displayed on a truck outside Flagstaff Mall, 4650 N. Highway 89, on Friday, Nov. 7 from 5-7 p.m. The Flagstaff stop is the only opportunity to see the tree in Arizona.
The Flagstaff event will feature appearances by Smokey the Bear and Santa Clause. Guests may bring an unwrapped toy for The Salvation Army of Flagstaff Angel Tree and receive an extra ticket for prize drawings. Children can get a kit to make a snowman ornament (while supplies last). Festivities are free and open to the public.
The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree initiative is a 55-year tradition in which one of America’s 154 national forests provides a tree for the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol for the holiday season.
