Come prepared to reel ‘em in at Alamo Lake, one of the state’s top bass fishing destinations. Located around 40 miles southeast of Lake Havasu City, Alamo Lake State Park is a secluded respite where you can relax, fish, and keep an eye to the sky for bald or golden eagles, free of interruptions.
The kids will love it here, too. Not only can they appreciate the great outdoor attractions, they can become junior rangers here.
The crystal clear lake is surrounded by mountainous terrain speckled with brush, wildflowers, and cacti. Keep an eye to the sky for bald or golden eagles, wild burros, coyotes, pelicans, and Great Blue Herons.
There’s more than just great fishing. Explore the area off-trail by bike, splash around in the water, bring your non-motorized watercraft to paddle the lake, and pack your binoculars for unlimited wildlife watching.
This is where you want to be for a spectacular camping trip. But if you’d rather stay indoors, there are plenty of lodging options in nearby Lake Havasu City.
