For many cultures around the world, the transition of seasons from Fall to Winter incorporate traditions which honor our ancestors and loved ones who have passed.
This October, The Mini Time Machine Museum is pleased to announce the return of Jen Urso and her community project, Remarkable Presence, which explores the process of bereavement and the personal experience of finding meaning after the death of a loved one.
In this workshop, we’ll use small, paper suitcases from Jen Urso’s Remarkable Presence art installation to create meaningful, celebratory objects to honor someone we’ve lost or to simply honor those in our community lost to COVID and other battles. We invite you to join Jen as she teaches basic pop-up techniques to embellish the interior of your suitcase. They are symbolic of the expansiveness and reach of every life lost and celebrated.

Price: $30/person
Materials: Each participant will receive a Remarkable Presence suitcase, index cards, glue, scissors, a ruler, #11 x-acto knife, colored pencils, markers, and pens to use for their project.
