Downtown Mesa Festival of the Arts

Downtown Mesa Festival of the Arts (formerly MACFest) will be held on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays, October 2017 thru April 2018. The festival is located on MacDonald Street right off of Main Street. The street on MacDonald is closed to traffic, but parking is available all around the downtown Mesa area.

Downtown Mesa Festival of the Arts is a free event featuring unique artistic creations, music, food and fun for the whole family. The Festival features the work of established and emerging artists including woodworking, metal crafts, food items, jewelry, photography, handmade soaps, gift items, ceramics, and so much more.

Originally launched in 2008 to help downtown merchants during the height of the economic recession, Downtown Mesa Festival of the Arts provides an affordable opportunity for emerging and established artists to sell their work to the public. Artists may register and rent a 10 ft. X 10 ft. exhibit space for $25.00 per event. The Organizing Committee is offering art students in Mesa's local colleges and high schools the opportunity to sell their own creations at table displays on the raised curb areas free of charge. Artists under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

An information booth will be located on the corner of Main and MacDonald with helpful attendants and numerous brochures and flyers publicizing events, activities, restaurants and other businesses for the visitors for the Mesa area.

Music will be provided by a small combo band with acoustic instruments, Peggy & Tim. Dance groups and other performers from local schools and clubs are encouraged to perform their routines at the festival events. For more information, email: info@dtmesafest.com.
