Chiricahua National Monument Centennial Commemoration

Willcox, AZ - Join the National Park Service in commemorating one hundred years of balancing protection with enjoyment during the Centennial special events April 18 - 20, 2024, at Chiricahua National Monument.

Thursday, April 18, at 2:00 pm, the public is invited to the Commemoration at Faraway Ranch. President Calvin Coolidge established the national monument April 18, 1924, to preserve and protect the unique pinnacles of this “Wonderland of Rocks”. Prior to the program, visitors can see the interior of the historic Faraway Ranch House.
Free. No pre-registration required.

Plan your visit: Please be prepared to park outside the park in designated areas, walk on uneven grass or dirt, and use free event shuttles. Tap water, handicapped accessible parking, and restrooms are available at the Faraway Ranch parking lot. Limited packaged snacks and a variety of souvenirs are available in the visitor center store. Food, gas, and lodging are available in Willcox, 37-miles from the park, and other local communities.
