Prescott residents raised the money to build the four-story hotel to attract Phoenix tourists who wanted to escape the summer heat. It was designed by one of the Southwest's most distinguished architects, Henry Trost, and opened in 1927.
The warmth and romance of the historic Southwest comes to life at the Hassayampa Inn, a beautifully restored 1927 boutique hotel set in the heart of the Prescott, AZ downtown historic district. Every inch of our hotel exudes classic character and charm. From the hand-painted lobby ceiling and dramatic wall murals to the quirky vintage elevator and etched glass and embossed copper panels, the Hassayampa Inn transports you back to the “roaring twenties” with its Spanish Colonial Revival architecture and Italianate features. This “living museum” is where some of history’s most noteworthy celebrities used to come to unwind, including Will Rogers, Greta Garbo, Clark Gable and Steve McQueen. Yesterday's charm combines with today's modern amenities to make the Hassayampa Inn a haven for sophisticated guests seeking a sense of pampered well being. Each of our 67 unique rooms captures the romantic historic boutique hospitality experience that has made the Hassayampa legendary over the generations.
