Casa Grande, a progressive community with a rich history and rural heritage, has retained its renowned friendliness, small-town charm and optimism while continuing to maintain its status as one of the fastest growing communities in Pinal County. Casa Grande is located in the center of a megapolitan corridor, at the intersection of two major interstates: I-10 and I-8.
The community is strategically located 45 minutes from Phoenix to the north and an hour from Tucson to the south, although most residents find whatever they need locally, without having to travel outside of the Casa Grande area. Founded in 1879 and incorporated in 1915, Casa Grande is named for the famous Hohokam Indian ruins 20 miles to the northeast. Casa Grande is the second largest community in Pinal County and is a dynamic and growing city with an estimated year-round population of more than 45,000 residents and as many as 20,000 more during the winter months.
