Yesterdays

Yesterdays Restaurant was originally constructed to be a stage coach stop for the Butterfield Stage Coach. We still have the rings within the original beams which were used to hoist the stage coaches to grease or change the wheels. The hotel Sheps Miners Inn which wraps around the restaurant, originally was made for travelers, and miners. It has been rumored it was used as a make shift hospital, due to the growing mining operation in the 1800's. In the 1950's this town has become a recluse for a lot of artists, poets, and writers. World famous artists such as Roy Purcell, and Tony Mafia have called Chloride home, their artwork can be viewed within the Inn as well as the restaurant. Many movies, music videos, and TV specials have been filmed on the property. PBS,History Channel, and Discovery Channel have found Chloride a diamond in the rough. Both Universal Soldier and Jack Nicolson's first movie Rebel Rousers was filmed on the property. Our live entertainment has included performers such as Joe Feeney, George Canyon, Mel Tillis, Jerry Hoban, Wyatt Earp, as well as our fine local musicians. We host dinner theaters, weekly Karaoke, line dancing, hiking, and ATV groups throughout the year, and numerous other events. Chloride seems to honor our history rather than change it. Depending on your interests we offer history, art, live music, good food, a full bar (with over 120 varieties of beer), as well as comfortable lodging in one of our 11 rooms. Please take the ride to Chloride.
