Historic Hat Ranch

Built in the late 1800s on 300 scenic acres, and located just 70 miles south of the Grand Canyon, the Historic Hat Ranch operated as a ranch house for decades. Now under the ownership of Northern Arizona University, the ranch offers research, teaching and outreach opportunities for faculty, students and partners, particularly in the area of sustainability.

Though the ranch now operates primarily as a research center, it may be rented by the general public for retreats, meetings and small conferences with preference given to those with an educational purpose.
